Dear all of you who ask why I am still single and say silly things like, “You’re pretty and smart, why can’t you get a boyfriend?”
To that, I answer with this.
I totally wanted to just cut out the last panel and put it up here since that seems to sum up things. Some girls complain that all the cute guys are taken. I complain that all the readers are taken. But hotlinking images like that is stealing; and I do enough of that with the cover images I swipe from Barnes & Noble. Now you’ll have to click on the link to visit the funny, funny site.
I’ve been catching up on the Diesel Sweetiesarchives all week ever since Swifty stopped by the booth at MoCCAto buy Heather a pair of Red Robot socks and have started following creator rstevens on Twitter (@rstevens) since laughing breaks up the mundanity of my days.

Ah, it’s working now.

Family – please avert you eyes from this comment…
Matt-I think the last panel implies that I’m NOT nailing the head…
Man, isn’t THAT cartoon the damn truth! I was surprised when I started blogging in January to find so many more book lovers out there. Especially people born after the 70s, in the age of video games, 900 channels of tv, and HBO and ESPN On Demand. One time I dated a guy and literally he had not read a single book he wasn’t forced to read. Thank god I have managed to find a couple guys since who have picked up a book since Clinton was in office.

Rebecca – was he proud he hadn’t read anything he wasn’t forced too? I guess I’d be more bothered by that than someone who simply hadn’t read anything in years. I’m quite alright with reading not being someone’s thing, so long as they’re well rounded in other ways.
Call me a snob, but I look down on people who look down on those of us who enjoy books.
